People Who Help Us
As part of our topic ‘People Who Help Us’ Reception and Nursery were lucky enough to have a visit form a real Mountain Rescuer today. Mr Mounsey brought lots of equipment and his Mountain Rescue 4 wheel drive vehicle into school to show the children and talked about how he helps people. The children truly enjoyed the visit and some lovely comments to say including,
“I liked the siren nee-naw noise that the Land Rover made.” Harry.
“I really liked going under the rain cover for keeping people who were hurt warm and keeping the rain off them”. Owen.
“I liked seeing the Mountain Rescue Jeep. It was really good!” Tristan.
“I didn’t know that Mountain Rescue people carried big heavy rucksacks. I liked seeing all the equipment inside that he needed to help people.” Hannah.
